Short description of the project

The economic branch mostly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide is tourism. Szombathely in Hungary together with the tourism organisation in Komárno, Slovakia, twin city Kutaisi in Georgia, Elbląg in Poland as a new twin city intends to establish a new way of cooperation in tourism the bases of which are the common historical past or the similar though unique tourist and cultural attractions. We can promote the values of one another jointly in cooperation more effectively than on our own. Our objective is to create the conditions of competitiveness in tourism among one another and to target new European markets.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
